Rules of Siol Lear

Welcome, and be of good heart ye who wish to join with the Siol Lear to reclaim our ancient home. We battle with the dark forces that have spawned in Hibernia to grow strong and defeat our ancient enemy in Albion and their foul allies in Midgard to reclaim our lost home in the Celtic lands.

But:
Be ye warned hereby that if ye be of those who do not wish to join with us in the spirit and times of Hibernia, including but not limited to having a name that is appropriate and behaving more or less in character or bring with ye lies, deceit, division, selfishness or any other foul spirit, go no further. We are of those who call themselves honorable and whose characters remain in the spirit of Hibernia in the Lost Age of Camelot. Should ye be one of those who call of themselves eL1T3 d00dz or any other of the followers of The Twisted one, we will turn upon you and you shall be from us outcast forever.

Come amongst us with a positive attitude and generally positive comments or come not at all. There is much in the real world that is negative and there is much about our lives imperfect, but we come not here rant on such things but to enjoy our lives together in Hibernia, to defeat our enemies and help our friends.

The process of joining is as follows:

- First, you must fill out every question in the form below. Some of the questions have answers that are found on this site. When you have completed the form, copy and paste it in an email by clicking the link below.

- Once your application is submitted, it will be reviewed for completeness and you are guilded at our starting rank of 9... as applicant. To gain rank 8 and the ability to wear our emblem, you must gain one sponsor from the guild that is already rank 8.

- Once you have a primary character in Siol Lear, your other family members will be admitted automatically.

Finally, we have a few rules:

1. Do not speak ill of your brother or sister except to them privately or in private complaint to an officer.
2. Conduct yourself in a manner that will bring honor to the name Siol Lear in everything you do or say. Please take note of this. When you have the Siol Lear tag above your head, you represent something. If you are using a public channel to speak, please keep it to in game subjects. Anything you say reflects on us all
3. Obey our Laird and the officers appointed by him. If a call to arms is issued you are expected to stop what you are doing and make haste to where you are told.
4. Join with us in war against the foul Albions and Midgardians.
The guild channel is to be kept in character as much as is possible. This channel is for in game subjects ONLY.
5. If you are able to use /asend, please keep in charcter as much as you can. We all know that in times of battle it is not always easy; just do your best. No one is here to force people to speak with ye's, thou's, etc. Keeping in character doesn't mean you have to use the accents of the past, but it does mean stop using abbreviations for please, thank you, you, etc. It also means to stop talking about real world stuff.
If you feel a need to speak with people /ooc, then use a chat group or /tells. Limited /ooc talk will be tolerated on /gu channel, but please use the (ooc) to start the sentence off
6. Participate in guild events. Plain and simple. If you don't enjoy guild events, don't help your guildmates, there is no reason to be in the guild to begin with. When someone takes the time to plan an event, please show your support and attend. Participation includes keeping up with the message board. Please read it at least once a week.
7. This is the most important rule: HAVE FUN, and do all that you can to HELP OTHERS HAVE FUN!

Once you have submitted the application, if you have not heard from an officer in five days, contact an officer in-game. Please make sure that your email address is accurate and that you include your character name in the application!

If you agree with the above rules and wish to still join us please follow this link to fill out the Application.
